A roadmap towards sustainability
All products and service have an environmental impact during their production, use and disposal. The project focused on finding ways of guiding industrial product design and development towards sustainability, especially from a product-centric point of view. As a results two sustainability guidebooks for metals and engineering industry were created.
Digital microhydraulics can save double the amount of oil used in Finland each year
In solenoid-actuated micro valve concept plurality of mass-produced digital on/off valves are used instead of one traditional valve. This increases industry competitiveness and smaller ecological footprint by cutting fuel use up to 50 % and enabling higher performance and reliability of machines and processes.
