FINAL REPORT: SIMP ”System Integrated Metals Processing”
The vision of the DIMECC SIMP program (2014-2017) was to bring benefits from digitalization to the metals and metals production industry. The program focused on the digitalization of highly complex process chains by modeling, simulations, and analysis, which, in the end, will enable real-time predictive control in the plant environment. The advances made in the program have...
Long-term research activities enabled the development of a revolutionary new type of reactor for the metals processing industry
To meet the global challenge of declining ore grades and increasing price of energy a novel hydrostatic pressure reactor for the metals processing industry have been developed. The new type of reactor is energy efficient and can utilize low-grade raw materials that are currently not economically feasible.
